Why Mentoring?
Mentoring is a developmental partnership where an experienced professional shares their knowledge, insights, and guidance to support someone else’s growth in a specific area. While coaching is focused on asking questions and facilitating personal discovery, mentoring involves offering suggestions, real-world examples, and lessons learned from personal experience.
Mentoring can be especially valuable when clients are navigating familiar territory for the mentor but not so familiar for the client.
My Mentoring Approach
My primary approach is rooted in coaching. However, I recognize that in certain situations, clients may also seek guidance based on lived experience. When that’s the case — and only if the client wishes — we can integrate mentoring into our work together.
I offer mentoring in areas where I have gained deep, hands-on expertise, including:
- Team management and leadership
- Career development for professionals seeking growth or change
- Supporting parents returning to work after a career break
These mentoring moments are always client-led and entirely optional. You set the direction, and we’ll co-create the right balance between coaching and mentoring that best supports your needs. Some moments may call for space and reflection; others may benefit from practical strategies or insights from my own journey.
This blended approach allows you to benefit from both deep personal exploration and the value of experience-based guidance — whenever it’s relevant to your growth.
